A Bold Vision
For A Better
San Francisco

WHY I'M RUNNING FOR MAYOR

San Francisco is my home. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but my family's roots here go back five generations to 1870. I was drawn back to the city of my ancestors because of its vibrant energy, its spirit of innovation, and its diverse, creative community. But I've watched with growing concern as that unique spirit has faded. Skyrocketing costs have pushed out artists, musicians, teachers, essential workers, and even families who've lived here for generations, leaving our city less vibrant and less of a true community.

I'm running for Mayor because I believe we can build a San Francisco that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few. I'm not a politician - I'm a scientist and engineer who spent over a decade at Tesla, solving complex problems and building a better future. I'm ready to bring that same problem-solving approach to City Hall.

Here's my vision for a more just and compassionate San Francisco:

  • Everyone has a basic income: I'll champion a Universal Basic Income, a monthly cash payment to every San Franciscan that guarantees everyone a minimum income, lifting people out of poverty, providing economic security, and empowering individuals to pursue their dreams.

  • Everyone has a home: I'll build tens of thousands of units of beautiful, affordable social housing, ensuring everyone has a place to live, regardless of income.

  • No one is left behind: I'll implement proven strategies to end chronic homelessness, prioritizing housing and support services while treating addiction as a public health issue, not a criminal one.

We can build a San Francisco where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Join me - let's make it happen.

MY TOP PRIORITIES

UBI.png

Universal Basic Income (UBI)

  • $1000 a month Universal Basic Income for all San Francisco residents to provide economic stability and improve quality of life

  • One in three San Franciscans earn less than the minimum livable wage. A UBI would help to solve this.

  • Fund through a combination of cost savings, increased tax revenues, pollution taxes, land use fees, and a land value dividend to make the program sustainable

Universal Social Housing

  • Establish a $1 billion Housing Production Fund to finance the construction of Universal Social Housing, aiming to create 10,000 new units annually

  • Implement an income-blind, low-rent Social Housing model inspired by Vienna's success, ensuring housing accessibility for all San Franciscans regardless of income level

  • Use a self-sustaining revolving fund mechanism to finance Social Housing projects, providing low-rate loans to developers and reinvesting repayments into new projects

End Chronic Homelessness

  • Commit to ending chronic homelessness through proven strategies, including coordinated efforts using shared technology platforms and a true "Housing First" approach

  • Address root causes by expanding crisis intervention services, implementing community sponsorship programs, and tackling drug addiction, and poverty

  • Expand supportive housing by improving existing units, building 1,500 new ones, and creating a Landlord Engagement Team to increase available housing options
